The Joseph Smith Papers (or Joseph Smith Papers Project) is a documentary editing project to collect, research, and publish all documents created by, or under the direction of, Joseph Smith (1805–1844), the founder of the Latter Day Saint movement.
The Joseph Smith Papers includes accurate and unabridged transcripts of all extant Joseph Smith documents to which the editors can gain access. The project includes both print and electronic components.
The writings, teachings, revelations, and events of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Also include stories, perspectives, and insights into the Prophet and the lives of early members of the Church.
Joseph Smith (1805–1844) was the founding prophet and first president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Joseph Smith Papers project is an effort to gather together all available documents produced by Joseph Smith himself or by others he appointed as scribes.
27 cze 2023 · On the 179th anniversary of the martyrdom of Joseph Smith (June 27, 1844), the Church Historian’s Press released the final print volume in its landmark 27-volume work, “The Joseph Smith Papers,” which got underway in June 2001.
