Currently there are some upgrades available to the Zune, such as, batteries and SSDs. Most of us are aware of the SSD, so I will skip that. Batteries on the other hand most of us only get replacement 800mAh batteries, when in fact, there are better ones out there.
Use a Zune opening tool to carefully pry the battery off the adhesive securing it to the inner chassis. Do not attempt to completely remove the battery from the inner chassis as it is still attached to the the logic board.
By that point, I was having to keep an external battery or occasionally give it fresh charges from my car's cigarette lighter/USB adapter. So it was then that I finally mailed it off to RapidRepair, and got both the new battery and SSD upgrade.
