Located 13-miles north of Sierra City, the Yuba Pass Snow Park accesses trails that reach the Little Truckee Summit staging area, Jackson Meadows reservoir and Bassetts staging area, traveling through the woods on forest service roads. Lunch Creek Trail is a cross-country/Nordic skiing only trail.
The Yuba Pass Area offers 100 miles of trail opportunities especially for snowmobilers and nordic skiers. The Sno-Park site on the south side of Hwy 49 at Yuba Pass provides parking and access for cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling or just general snow play.

Located on the south side of Highway 49, Yuba Pass is the Sno-Park that is furthest north in California. It's pretty remote compared to the other Sno-Parks in the Sierras and seems to be particularly popular with snowmobiles.
Check out this 3.0-mile out-and-back trail near Sattley, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 14 min to complete. This trail is great for cross-country skiing, hiking, and off-road driving, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring.
9 sty 2019 · In the summer, this is Yuba Pass Road. It’s nice and wide, leaving plenty of room for snowmobiles to pass you, and it’s a very mellow trail with not a lot of incline one way or the other. You get a few fun hills, but nothing to worry about.
NOTE: There is another Sno-Park at Yuba Gap, which appears to have a store and other facilities, but it's only open until 5pm. The Yuba Gap exit (waypoint YGEXIT) is about 17 miles west of Donner Summit. From YGEXIT, go south to the first junction and then continue east (parallel to the freeway) to waypoint YGPARK .
