When my XBox Series X is on Auto-Detect mode, it only gives me a resolution option of 640x480. Nothing else. The only way to change it is to manually switch it from Auto-Detect to the HDMI option.
14 lis 2020 · I notice that if I put in energy saving mode the xbox series x, the autodetect of resolution works fine at 99%. If I set the xbox to standby in order to permit the update and download in standby, the autodetect went wrong and starts at 640x480.

My Xbox series X was booting up in 640x480 (480p) every time I turned on my TV using a Logitech remote to run everything. If I went to Xbox settings, power and did a restart it would restart at 4K. A friends dad diagnosed a handshake issue and suggested a delay between the TV and Xbox starting.
