24 sty 2024 · Genesis Women's Shelter was founded to give women escaping domestic violence a safe place to get back on their feet.
The Houston Area Women's Center serves thousands of women, children and families each year escaping domestic violence, sexual assault or sex trafficking. We help survivors transform their lives, free from violence.
We provide listings of: women's shelters, family shelters, transitional housing, residential treatment centers and other residential services for women. Many shelters also provide services such as alcohol and drug rehab treatment along with clinics, and best of all supportive housing options.
Our Mission at Emily's Place: To break the cycle of domestic violence for women and their children through long-term transformational care that seeks to restore faith, hope, and health.
Highly trained HAWC advocates provide survivors with information and resources to assess their danger, make a safety plan, find shelter and access services such as legal help and housing options.
Long Term Housing. After a family has completed the 8-week stay at our emergency shelter, they are sometimes not in a position to live independently. Annie’s House allows them to stay up to 12 months in a private apartment, with access to tools and resources to build a safe, happy future.
