18 cze 2024 · I'm encountering an issue with Windows Security on my Windows 11 machine (version 24H2, build 26100.863). When I try to access Windows Security through the Start menu or system tray icon, I can't find the usual 'windowsdefender' option. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm concerned that my antivirus protection might be disabled.

This setting in Windows 11 is at Windows Settings > Apps > Advanced App Settings > Choose Where to get apps > Anywhere. If that's already set then you may have bought a PC that has S mode, which only allows Store apps to be installed.

Regarding the methods you suggested: - I tried method one and then method 3, but after opening the Windows mail app a couple of times, it auto-installs Outlook (new) again and redirects me there.
