The Westerville Division of Police (WPD) is dedicated to responding to the needs of citizens, preventing crimes, and continually evolving to maintain the highest standards of service.
In patrol, officers respond to a variety of calls, to include incidents of theft, drug crimes, domestic violence, disturbances, traffic accidents, and many more.
The chief of police, under direction of the city manager, is responsible for the administration of the police department including staffing and personnel management, budget operations, establishing departmental philosophy and direction, and enforcement of local ordinances and state and federal laws and regulations.
