Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix, also known as simply Hurricane Harbor Phoenix, is a Six Flags water park in Phoenix, Arizona. It opened on March 16, 2019. Formerly, the park was known as Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix from 2009 to 2018, and before that the site was home to Waterworld Safari Phoenix.
1 sie 2023 · The three water parks operating in the Phoenix metro 10 years ago were Golfland Sunsplash, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor – which was previously Waterworld Safari and Wet ‘n’ Wild – and Big Surf, which is now permanently closed. The population was about 3.9 million.
Nothing was posted on their website about any rides being closed so we drove 45 minutes to the park to get inside and find that three of their largest slides were closed, the wave pool was not working and there were no tubes (all rides require tubes).
The Six Flags website states “The gravity-defying water coasters blast riders uphill on jetted water and over 830 feet of hair-raising drops and breathtaking curves.” This attraction was closed during our visit, but I would love to visit again this season to check it out because it sounds amazing!
Firstly, many rides were closed, which was disheartening. The lazy river, a family favorite, was shut down because too many workers had called out. Additionally, the slides in the kid zone were off-limits due to a shortage of lifeguards, leaving the kids unable to enjoy them.
