For nearly 40 years, the Washburn Area Museum has been providing a place for local people to donate all sorts of items of historic significance for preservation and sharing with the general public. Consequently, WAM has a sizable, varied collection of historical treasures housed in our archives.
Operated independently by the Washburn Area Historical Society, WAM’s collections includes dioramas, photographs, and artifacts depicting the people and industries that shaped the Washburn area. WAM is open seasonally and is volunteer-run; its hours of operation differ from WCC’s.

The Washburn Heritage Association has been producing Tony Woiak Winter and Summer History Festivals since 2012. Local citizens, as well as tourists and visitors have come together for festive evenings of remembering and preserving our heritage.
