27 lip 2011 · I'm looking for Walt Johnson Flight case but however I read up Walt Johnson Company have closed down and doesn't do any flight cases anymore. I seek my friends' help and gotten a recommendation to get a MTS 1209V Large Frame Tuba Case.
New Walt Johnson Flight Case. This case will fit B&S PT-15, PT-10 and many of the other B&S F tubas. Also, Miraphone 181's. Check measurments from the other horns online and compare.
29 wrz 2021 · Walt worked with many top-name musicians (Sinatra, Manilow, Streisand, etc.) and went on to become Elvis' lead trumpet player, and - growing weary of airlines damaging his trumpets - he designed some (heh-heh) "military-grade" cases for his instruments, made of thick fiberglass.
28 gru 2016 · My tuba colleague has a WJ tuba case he uses all the time and that he's had for decades. He says it's hands down the best tuba hard case he's ever seen. (i've got the shaped single trumpet.)
4 kwi 2023 · Fits 4/4 to 5/4 size York-style CC tuba. For anyone that doesn't know the brand, these things are seriously well built. Due to large York-style bells, this is the largest case shell Walt Johnson has to offer.
17 lip 2021 · I have a Walt Johnson built-like-a-tank "flight case" I bought used a few years ago and never got around to up-fitting for the two CC or the F horns I've owned since. Not sure what the previous owner shipped with it, but Nirschl 5/4 seems to come to mind.
I am in the market for two tuba flight cases and my research has brought me to the choice between the Accord case and the Walt Johnson case. I am trying to decide which choice to go with. My main concern is of course the protection of my instruments, but I am also worried about over weight charges and durability as well.
