The Washington Kayak Club, based in Washington State, is a volunteer organization dedicated to all forms of paddle craft in the Pacific Northwest. The WKC is run by its members for its members.
As a member of the Washington Kayak Club you have access to a wide variety of paddling activities including: Full calendar of whitewater and sea kayaking trips, we also offer slalom events, surf activities and even polo matches throughout the year. Beginner sea kayaking and whitewater classes annually.
The Washington Kayak Club has served Western Washington since 1948, with frequent WW trips in the Cascades and Olympics, and occasional trips farther afield. In addition to WW, we also participate in Sea Kayaking, Slalom, Kayak Polo, Surf Kayaking, pool practice, instruction and stewardship.
We paddle the rivers, lakes, marshes, and bays in the Washington, D.C., area. We get up close and personal with beautiful scenery and wildlife, we see things from the water that are not visible any other way, and we enjoy the special happiness -- a magical combination of tranquility and exhilaratio.
