Download and run the off-line version of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (or the all languages version) from the Microsoft Download Center. This will take longer to download and install than using Windows Update, but is officially supported.
5 lip 2012 · How can I install Microsoft Service Pack 1 on my Windows Vista Home Premium PC (32-bit operating system)? Service Pack 1 has repeatedly failed to install over the past 3 years. Every time I try now I get error code 3701.
It's failed loading Windows Vista Service Pack 1 three times, which seemed strange since SP1 came out in '07. Looking at the Update History, Service Pack 1 has failed to install between 50 and 100 times dating back to June, 2008.
2 sie 2011 · It doesn't currently have Service Pack 1 installed; although Windows Update will download and execute it, the installation fails with an error indicating that Service Pack 1 is required. Has anyone encountered this problem and found a way to resolve it?
23 lip 2013 · I am trying to install Windows Vista Service Pack 1, but whenever the computer reboots it runs Startup Repair, before claiming that it can't fix the problem its found. It's then possible to boot into Windows Vista, but the service pack hasn't installed.
27 sie 2009 · Windows Update has tried on numerous occiasions to install Service pack 1 but it fails every time. I went to the vista site and downloaded it on the stand alone link. It downloaded and got half way through installation and it said there was an error.
