Victoria II is known to sometimes guess an incorrect refresh rate, making it unusable. You may not have a settings.txt file, worry that it is broken, or not be confident that you can correctly edit it by yourself.
21 paź 2023 · I instaled Victoria II from my steam library and it won't start, it says 'Failed to create a graphics device. Exiting.' Does anyone have solution for this problem
New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. I'm not sure what issue may be causing that but it runs perfectly fine on my pc which is Windows 11. Reinstall graphics drivers, reinstall the game. Okey i fixed it on my own.
The fix with deleting the map/cache folders only works if you start the game from v2game.exe directly afterwards, instead of Steam, for once. Do not have Steam running at all during that.

12 lip 2021 · When I try to launch the game from steam, the launcher pops up, I click "play Victoria 2" and then nothing happens. I see the "playing" icon over the game for a few seconds after the launcher closes, then the button goes back to "play" in steam.
