1 paź 2024 · Since its founding in 1920, the Green Section has led the USGA’s efforts to improve golf course playing conditions and sustainability through research, education, course consulting, technology tools and championship agronomy.
Alongside The R&A, the USGA governs the sport of golf via a global set of playing, equipment, handicapping and amateur status rules. As part of an ongoing evaluation process designed to make the Rules of Golf easier to understand and apply, the Rules undergo a quadrennial update where changes, updates, and new clarifications are enacted.
Purpose of Rule: Rule 1 introduces these central principles of the game for the player: Play the course as you find it and play the ball as it lies. Play by the Rules and in the spirit of the game.
This printed publication of the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf includes the Rules of Golf, its Clarifications, and the Committee Procedures sections. It is intended for golf administrators, referees and officials and Rules enthusiasts.
