27 wrz 2005 · USB devices couldn't be detected by Windows XP for some reason. When I plugged a Scanddisk Cruzer Mini thumb drive into the port the light lit up, but windows couldn't see it.

Symptoms. After you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP, the universal serial bus (USB) drivers do not appear to update. Cause. After you upgrade from Windows XP to Windows XP Service Pack 2, the USB drivers appear with the earlier version numbers, even though the files have been updated.
This is usually caused by a USB power issue. If there is not enough power to properly power the device then Windows brings this message up. It's hardly ever a driver issue. The key word here is "Malfunctioned" in the bubble. Either plug the device directly into the computer, or plug it in to a powered hub. Share.

28 paź 2010 · Solved: USB 2.0 Driver for XP SP3. I have 2 USB 2.0 ports in the back and 2 in the front of my tower but none of them are working as 2.0. My motherboard is a Biostar A740G m2+ with athelon dual core. I'm trying to find the driver to fix this (or whatever else will) but have ended up at a dead end.
