15 lut 2011 · Ultima Belt Drive Problem. I have the ultima 3" open belt drive, and it's on a custom built evo softail with a 5 speed transmission. The problem I have is when I engage the starter the jackshaft throws out and just engages and gets hung and won't retract.

9 maj 2007 · Put a ultima drag belt drive set up on the bike. It all set up ok. I have a question about the clutch set up. It had a 6 finger inner clutch hub with springs and nuts to adjust your pressure plate. the clutch engages fine and never slips.
15 maj 2008 · Most belt drive failures are the rear mainshaft bearing and usually they spin inside the motor plate causing you to replace the whole plate and bearing. Primo addressed this on there drag bikes by utilizing a 2 pc. plate.
23 maj 2008 · I have the 3.35 Ultima Open Belt Drive and have about 1,000 easy miles on it and the hub bearing is loose, I can rock the clutch basket back and forth alot! Has anyone else come across this problem.
4 paź 2015 · Belt drive kits keep the same part numbers (58-800, 58-801, 58-700, 58-730) however the parts in the kit will change (motor plate, belt, and outboard support). The parts that change are those that are required to update to the new fitment.
If you are using an Ultima belt drive, the clutch adjustment is screwy...I am not a fan of these belt drives. They look cool but the parts (as with any Ultima component) are made up a few not so great parts, a few high end parts (usually not manufactured by Ultima) and some cool looking flair.
