The College of Engineering (COE) Honors Program is designed to enrich the educational opportunities for outstanding students within the College. Students in the Honors Program will be encouraged to participate in early experiences in research and scholarship in preparation for independent research and inquiry.
Based on your outstanding academic record and accomplishments in high school, you have been admitted to the Honors Program. To maintain eligibility, you must meet GPA, community service, and honors course requirements. Please visit our Honors Program page for details.*
2022-23 College of Engineering EE & CE Honors Students. The grade point average (GPA) thresholds for the honors categories are calculated based on the graduates from the preceding academic year. Highest Honors students receive a braided blue and gold cord.

Complete six total honors units during the junior and/or senior year. • Departmental 196, 197, 198, 199 or graduate level courses in STEM fields with grades of B or higher apply as honors units.
