Instead of simply being a place to sleep, our four Residence Halls – Aberdeen-Inverness, Lothian, Pentland Hills, and Dundee – are filled with programs, activities, and amenities designed to help you adjust to college and steer you towards your personal path to success.
The Pentland Hills Residence Hall is comprised of 17 buildings. Each building offers suite-style housing arrangements. Each suite has a combination of four double-occupancy rooms, two toilet rooms, two shower rooms and a living room with a microwave and refrigerator.

UCR's three Residence Halls provide freshmen students with the most well-rounded college experience. Students also have the option of living in several cultural-themed and academic-based Living-Learning Communities.
East Lothian (Lothian wings D, E, and F) Easily the best freshman dorms. Each floor has a kitchenette, unlike AI, West Lothian, and Dundee. Bathrooms are the nicest, and nicer than the ones in Dundee. The bathrooms at East Lothian have the best showers as well and they are the most sanitary as opposed to the others.
