5 sie 2015 · The axle I pulled recently seemed to have a more deformed shape to it (I have pics in a thread). The trick is you need to get "even" leverage on the axle. Most of the time as you put a single pry bar to it you are pushing the thing at an angle which will fight you a bit.

I used a screwdriver to pry under the rim in a dent left by a previous mechanic. Under this cover, we will find the axle nut, axle nut retainer, and cotter pin.
