Towers are the primary way to defend the base from enemies. They are vital to the players’ loadout and gameplay. Each tower has its unique form of combat or support and purchase cost related to the tower itself.
The Sniper is a powerful single-target tower whose redeeming qualities are long range, cheap upgrades for early-game and full defense piercing regardless of upgrades, making it a staple for almost any Expert Mode loadout.
The Gunslinger is a tower with a sluggish firerate and deals deals 5 damage per shot. The Gunslinger's attack spreads and can take down multiple enemies at once. The Gunslinger appears as a pale-skinned tower with a leather jacket, a double-barrel shotgun, and a cowboy hat.
The Overlord is guaranteed to spawn at Wave 48 in Expert Mode, with the Enemy Randomizer attribute, replacing The Corrupted. After the Ode of Autumn update, this is more unlikely to happen. After the Cold Construct 2022 update, this now happens at Wave 38.
