Jesus being the son of man means that he is the leader of mankind. Since he is for us, and he is now seated at the right hand of the power of God, this means we have a way to connect with God the Father, and we can also make a difference here in this world we live in.

4 kwi 2008 · Why is Jesus called "Son of Man"? Let me give a common understanding and then a more sophisticated historical understanding. The common understanding is that "Son of God" implies his deity—which it does—and that "Son of Man" implies his humanity, which it does too.
The designation Son of Man means, for Jesus, both that he is human as we are, a son of Adam, and that he is the coming Messiah, who has been given authority by the Most High and reigns over his kingdom through his weakness, seen most clearly at the cross.

27 wrz 2017 · Jesus is a son of “man” in addition to the son of “God,” in a kind of proto two-nature Christology. Well, I don’t think that’s the point. After all, first, “son of man” is what Jesus called himself during his earthly ministry, during which time no one had trouble believing that he was human.
