Healthy Texas Women is dedicated to offering women’s health and family planning services at no cost to eligible women in Texas. This care helps women plan their families, whether they seek to achieve, postpone, or prevent pregnancy.
The Healthy Texas Women program offers comprehensive healthcare, including birth control, pregnancy tests and counseling, and health screenings and treatment for hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol.
It helps women take care of their general and prenatal health and has a positive impact on their birth outcomes. Beginning September 1, 2020, Healthy Texas Women (HTW) members will automatically join an enhanced postpartum care services package called Healthy Texas Women (HTW) Plus.
The Healthy Texas Women (HTW) program expands access to women’s health and family planning services for eligible, low-income women. The program goals are to: Reduce unintended pregnancies. Positively afect the outcome of future pregnancies.
