The best places to find crabs in Texas are near any body of water near the coast, including bodies of saltwater, canals, and drainage ditches. Some specific locations for crabbing are; Sabine Pass near the Sabine River in Port Arthur
You can crab off any of the public fishing docks, or many neighborhoods will have a community dock. I am NO expert, but I have been crabbing many times using a raw chicken neck and some string. You just sit on the dock/pier, tie the chicken with a string and drop it down in the water.

7 mar 2020 · Great fishing! Both sides of the dike are great for fishing. One side has nice beaches for fishing, families, and swimming, and the other side is great for fishing. Black and red drum, sea trout, catfish, small sharks, etc. Several boat launches as well. $5 charge to enter on weekends if you’re a non-resident.
