The Tennessee Central Railway Museum (TCRM, reporting mark TCRX [1]) is a railroad museum located in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a small non-profit facility which is preserving the heritage of rail transport in Tennessee and the central South.
It is advertised as “adrenaline pumping fun” for someone “obsessed with thrillers”. Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, you spend 4 hours in a musty train car and are stranded for 3 hours in Watertown where there is absolutely nothing to do. The “murder mystery “ consists of a 5 minute skit.
Come ride the Fall Foliage Excursion Train through the rolling hills of Tennessee! This trip will travel east out of Nashville along the Nashville and Eastern Railroad which was the former Tennessee Central Railway.

Our specialty is operating historic trains, providing a unique opportunity to rediscover vintage rail travel through beautiful Middle Tennessee. Since 1989, TCRM has been running passenger excursions from Nashville to points east such as Lebanon, Watertown, Baxter, Cookeville, and Monterey, Tennessee.
This museum is one of Nashville's hidden gems. You have to look for it, at the tracks down by the river. The museum itself is the best I have seen in Tennessee for train "buffs" or any young people. Most young people in Tennessee have never ridden a train for transportation. This will tell them what they need to know.
