Didyma (/ ˈdɪdɪmə /; Ancient Greek: Δίδυμα) was an ancient Greek sanctuary on the coast of Ionia in the domain of the famous city of Miletus. Apollo was the main deity of the sanctuary of Didyma, also called Didymaion. But it was home to both of the temples dedicated to the twins Apollo and Artemis.

Didyma, ancient sanctuary and seat of an oracle of Apollo, located south of Miletus in modern Turkey. Before being plundered and burned by the Persians (c. 494 bc), the sanctuary was in the charge of the Branchids, a priestly caste named after Branchus, a favourite youth of Apollo.
The Hellenistic temple of Apollo at Didyma presents several unique features in its plan. In its exterior it resembles the typical large Ionic temple of Asia Minor with a double colonnade surrounding it, no opisthodomus, and a pronaos containing three rows of four columns each.
The monumental Temple of Apollo at Didyma contains numerous features worthy of note, ranging from the unusually elaborate treatment of various architectural elements, to certain complications of design which are interpreted in the light of the oracular function of the temple.
The cult statue in the Didyma temple dated from 500 BC, was made of bronze and depicted Apollo Philesios seizing a deer. The temple was located approximately 10 kilometers south of the city of Miletus, inland from the small port of Panormos.
