22 maj 2012 · The rev limiter on the stock CDI is set way too low. You will need to pick up an aftermarket CDI (Dynatek) to allow the motor to rev. These two mods will make it an "acceptable" little kids quad that should keep them happy for a while.

18 sty 2007 · The biggest problem is the built in rev limiter. It never lets the engine spin long enough to build any speed or power. I called up my friend who is a mechanic at the dealer I bought the bikes at and asked if there was anything we could do to get a little more out of the mini.
Dynatek ATV Ignition – What we found is that the LT-Z50 has a very low rev limit (5000) that keeps the speed down and the only way to get around it is with a new CDI box. The Dyna FS CDI box moves the rev limit up to just over 8000 RPMs and with the flick of a switch, unlimited revs.
23 mar 2023 · I bought my 8yo son a 2023 LT-Z50 in January. He absolutely loves it. I've removed the clutch slip ring, and put an adjustable rev limiter set to 7500rpm. Opened the exhaust baffles, and have a CT Racing clutch-pack on back-order. However, I've noticed that it bogs severely coming out of corners.

22 paź 2006 · With the throttle limiter screw'd out, and the transmission limiting ring removed, the little 50cc 4 stroke quad runs a bit better, but is held back by it's rev limiter. Is their a way to unlock the potential to gain a few more revs?
