Biography. Stephen Sauvestre was the architect who was commissioned by Eiffel to build the Eiffel Tower. Mr. Stephen Sauvestre was born in Paris in December 1847. Pupil of Mr. Simonet at the School of Architecture founded in Paris by Mr. Emile Trélat, he went out with the first class, after obtaining medals of honor.

Biographie. Stephen Sauvestre était l'architecte qui fut mandaté par Eiffel pour la construction de la tour Eiffel. M. Stephen Sauvestre est né à Paris en décembre 1847. Elève de M. Simonet à l'Ecole d'Architecture fondée à Paris par M. Emile Trélat, il sortit avec la première promotion, après avoir obtenu des médailles d'honneur.
