She pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated DUI and two charges of reckless driving and expressed remorse to the victims' families.
27 kwi 2023 · Stephanie Melgoza pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated DUI and two counts of aggravated reckless driving for killing two people in a drunk driving crash in Pekin, Ill. in 2022. She tearfully apologized to the victims' families and said she wanted to use her story to prevent others from making the same mistake.
