Police Officer Salary. Pay. Cadets. Our cadets are paid $22.00 per hour for 40 hours of work each week and receive benefits while in training. Cadets earn a $5,000 dollar signing bonus one week prior to graduation from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Training Academy for classes run in calendar years 2023 and 2024.
