When you see the Songview checkmark next to a song, you know that the songwriters, publishers and ownership shares shown on the ASCAP and BMI websites are accurate, reliable and consistent between the two PROs.
If the full name of the artist is displayed on the release you must use the linked Written-By credit, but can also use the unlinked credit if the formatting is of significance. The Artist Name Variation function should also be considered when deciding which credit should be used.
