The Model 469 is an early model in Smith & Wesson's 59-series, envisioned as pistols that could be easily concealed, but with sufficient firepower to work as service weapons as well. It is a traditional DA/SA pistol with a 3.5-inch barrel, equipped with a slide-mounted safety/decocker.
2 sty 2017 · The 469 was one of S&W’s “second generation” 9mm pistols, and it was produced from 1983 to 1988. Second Gen S&Ws are, to me, sort of the forgotten generation of the pre-M&P pistols, with Gen 1 and Gen 3 pistols getting more attention—probably because of their longer runs.
13 wrz 2019 · Welcome, The 469 is a compact, 12-shot 9mm pistol, with lightweight alloy frame and 3 1/2" barrel. A TAD serial number prefix should be 1984 production according to my SCSW. I suspect "Signature" on the grips may indicate aftermarket Pachmayr grips have been installed on the gun.

First, let me cut to the end - My 469 is reassembled, no extra parts left over, functions perfectly. Here's the full report. I had some time to kill the other evening, and I had been planning to do a complete disassembly and cleaning of my new (to me) Model 469.
18 mar 2018 · The 469 is a double stack and it seems similar to the CS9. Can anyone who has both 469 and CS9 comment on their similarities and their size difference? Thank you.
