  2. At best, my sleep paralysis is a nuisance. It's not panic-inducing anymore (it's been 20+ years of it) but it's certainly not pleasant. If you really want to induce it you could try: A little alcohol leading up to bed. Don't get plastered, but you want to delay REM.

  3. TL;DR: I think I had sleep paralysis but could still move my arms and legs and body, but I couldn't see my limbs/my position would constantly snap back to starting position when I blinked. anyone else experience this?

  4. 5 sty 2024 · The amount of different expieriences that i have had is large during sleep paralysis, but what usually happens is me losing to him. I am unable to fight my own fear from escalating to full out shock, in which case he'll get close.

It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by muscle atonia (muscle weakness).

  7. Sleep paralysis is caused by you waking up before REM sleep has finished & therefore giving you the feeling of not being able to move. When we fall asleep our muscles go into a 'paralysis' state so we don't do strange things when we are asleep but because you are waking in a state of wakefulness & sleep stage your muscles remain paralysed .
