If I back up my Sims 3 Documents/Program Files folders, uninstall the game, reinstall it, and replace the folders, will I still have my families and CC? I want to use indie stone mod, but I've got the updated patches.
Indie Stone was discontinued back in 2009, so yeah it is indeed a little out of date. Another developer picked up where they left off and created a new mod called [StoryProgression], you can find it via the link in my signature.
This mod is a non-core story progression replacement. The EA story progression will be disabled by this mod, and a new, hopefully better, system is started in its place. The purpose of the mod is to simulate a life-like balance amongst the inactive members of town, while providing the user the option to disable functionality they do not want.

Indie Stone Mod. I just wanted to share this, because I actually stumbled across it by accident and hadn't heard too much about it. It is the Indie Stone Story Progression Rewrite Mod over at MTS. IT IS REALLY GREAT OMG.
