Shyam Lal College is a government college of University of Delhi, established in 1964 by Shyam Lal Gupta. It is located at G.T. Road, Shahadra, near Welcome metro station and has 45084 students and 150 academic staff.
Established in 1964 by Padmashree Shyam Lal Gupta, SLC offers 11 undergraduate and one postgraduate courses in science, commerce and humanities. It has a Wi-Fi campus, well-equipped labs, library, centres and facilities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Shyam Lal College was founded by Late Padma Shree Shyam Lal Gupta, Chairman, Shyam Lal Charitable Trust in the year 1964. The foundation stone of the College was laid by Late Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Hon’ble Vice President of India and Chancellor of University of Delhi on May 24, 1964.
Shyam Lal College is recognized as a co-educational constituent college of Delhi University. SLC DU offers 11 undergraduate courses in the fields of Science, Commerce and Humanities and 1 postgraduate course in Hindi.
