26 lip 2016 · Applying those thoughts to John 1:4-5, the Lord Jesus Christ is the only remedy for mankind who is in the darkness of sin. John records these words of Jesus in chapter 8, verse 12: “I am the light of the world. he who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
1 sty 2014 · The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it" (John 1:4-5 NIV). In this verse, through these two words, Jesus is saying, "I will show you the way to God." Let's be honest, we often take these two benefits, life and light, for granted.
This is what verses 1–4 are written to answer. They give three reasons why the light will triumph over the darkness. So let's focus for a moment on the conflict of light and dark in verse 5 and then look at the three reasons in verses 1–4 why light will win.
