Sengkang Sports Centre was built as part of a plan to improve amenities in Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency and Sengkang New Town, costing S$1 billion. [4] [5] The People's Association and the then Singapore Sports Council were involved in the planning of the sports complex, and went ahead with the project despite Singapore's economic recession in the early 2000s.

22 maj 2015 · The Sengkang Sports & Recreation Centre, once known as the Sengkang Sports Complex, is a complex of sporting facilities in the Anchorvale area of the Sengkang New Town on the island of Singapore.
Situated on 4 hectares of land beside Sungei Punggol, Sengkang Sports Centre houses a community club, and feature sports facilities including four swimming pools and five water slides. One of the slides has four colours similar to the slides at East Coast Park, which is now closed.
Sengkang Swimming Complex is managed by Sport Singapore. It was formerly known as Sengkang Sport and Recreation Centre. Sengkang Sport Centre is co-located with the People’s Association Anchorvale Community Club.
