Scouting for Food is an popular food drive service project for scouts. While usually sponsored by local council as a coordinated annual event, many individual scout units and families have held their own food drive. It is a cornerstone event for Good Turn service.
Since 1988 The Narragansett Council, Scouting America have helped feed families in southern New England by collecting nearly 10 million pounds of food! The yearly “Good Turn” is the most impactful local food drive and the Scouts largest annual community service project.
