Scott Stapp (born Anthony Scott Flippen; August 8, 1973) [1] [2] is an American singer and the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Creed. He has also fronted the band Art of Anarchy and has released four solo albums: The Great Divide (2005), Proof of Life (2013), The Space Between the Shadows (2019), and Higher Power (2024).

For most of its existence, the band has consisted of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips, and bassist Brian Marshall. Creed's first two studio albums, My Own Prison (1997) and Human Clay (1999), were released to commercial success despite unfavorable critical reception; Marshall left the band in 2000.
