Strong spring on the stick, adjustable tension on the throttle. Feels solidly built to me, and I've been told multiple times it's the last good HOTAS made by Saitek. You can commonly find them on eBay for very reasonable prices.

26 sie 2020 · Make sure you have the x45 legacy drivers, here’s the link from Saitek: First remove the USB plug for your controller from the PC. Press and hold the Windows key on your keyboard and then press the letter R.
Just a quick note, I used this exact same joystick a few years ago to play DCS. I came back after seeing that Saitek had legacy drivers available for my old X45. So I installed the 64bit drivers and plugged in the stick. Calibrated and all works fine.
The X-45 is the PC version of the Hori Ace Combat stick that came out for consoles- which I used for quite a bit maybe 10 years ago. The major downside is that it does not use a twist for the z-axis, instead it uses a weird analog paddle on the throttle that isn't very precise, and difficult to keep center.
