Each year, IRUA provides more than 1 billion gallons of high quality softened water to our member-customers. IRUA's service territory includes all or portions of 18 counties in central and northeast Iowa.
Rural water systems identified several issues related to system operations, including water quality, water quantity, aging infrastructure, and a retiring workforce. Respondents identified nitrate and water age/chlorine residual as top water quality concerns (Table 2).
5 dni temu · RRWA supplies water to the rural areas in 18 counties and to 51 communities in Iowa and Missouri. RRWA delivers this water through an extensive distribution system which includes an estimated 7,000 miles of pipeline, 34 elevated water storage tanks, and 36 booster pump stations.

IRUA maintains a network of water mains, booster stations and storage tanks to distribute treated drinking water to residents of 18 counties in central and northeast Iowa. We have 4,656 miles of pipeline in the ground, with sizes from 2” - 20” in diameter, 1” and 1 ½” service lines.
