We are a faith based Christian ministry that seeks to meet the needs of the homeless and hurting in Oneida County.
Our per capita income is a measly $17,775 — barely more than half the state average of $32,104. And the number of homeless people in Utica and Oneida County is on the rise — about a 15% jump from last year to now. About 30,000 people in Oneida struggle with hunger on a daily basis.
2 lut 2023 · DFCS is coordinating this effort with the Rescue Mission of Utica, which operates its own 24/7 warming center on behalf of the county located at 205 Rutger Street. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office will be providing security for the warming center at the County Office Building.
