My dad's friend recently passed away and he had a 4 cylinder Continental Red Seal engine partially restored, but mostly in pieces. Is there anywhere I can find information about this engine? I'm not sure where the stamping is on it, so don't even know the model.
10 lis 2007 · I've found what looks like a Continental Red Seal Power Unit engine. Its a 4-cylinder petrol/gasoline engine. Does anyone know anything about these engines? Any information you can share will be appreciated. Information like manufacturing dates, engine size and horsepower and likely uses for the engine. Also did the engine come with a gearbox?
21 kwi 2007 · The car engines were made in the Detroit plant and the industrial engines in Muskegon. The displacement of the K-F engine ("Supersonic Six") was 226 cubic inches and they produced a Red Seal called the F226, so I'm thinking there's probably some interchange.
13 lip 2010 · I know where there is a 6 cyl Red seal with a Continental engine in working order. It has a very large Construction Machinery Co. pump on it and is free standing on a frame with steel wheels, The following info is on the engine tag.
Red Seal was a Trade name used by Continental Engines. I can think of probably 20 different models of Continental engines. For some the parts are available at auto parts stores and at decent prices, some will not be that way.
