About 10% to 20% of brain tumors in children are embryonal tumors. They are more common in younger children than older ones, and are rare in adults. Embryonal tumors tend to grow quickly and often spread throughout the CSF pathways. Medulloblastomas are the most common type of embryonal tumor.
