The RCI 5054DX is basically a CB set with a high power RF amplifier. The DX version produces 100 watts peak output. Discontinued long ago, used is your only option. For 6 meters it performs well enough and is all mode. It does not have a tone encoder for FM repeaters, but can be installed.
Features include 10 memory channels, a relative SWR indicator, an all-mode squelch, a noise blanker/antenna noise limiter, memory and VFO scanning, pro-grammable scan and band limits and transmit/receive frequency offset capa-bilities (for repeater and split operation).
Ranger RCI-5054DX- (2001) This is a 6 meter version of the 10/12 meter transceivers. All mode operation with 25 watts FR output PEP SSB & 10 watts RF output FM/AM/CW. The receiver is simular to the radios manufactured in the 1980s.
