9 maj 2023 · Definition. Policy evaluation is traditionally presented as the final step in a policy cycle. According to the sequential approach to public policy, evaluation allows to look back at the social problem that led to the development and implementation of a public intervention.
Policy evaluation refers to the objective and systematic examination of the effects of ongoing policies and public programs on their intended goals. It involves assessing whether policies are achieving their stated objectives and identifying any impediments to their attainment.
