Actually. My guess is, the WiFi router is not running in B/G/N mixed mode which is the only way to really have a decent speed WiFi and still having the PSP connect to it. Ideally you need a b WiFi network to let the PSP connect. Also as mentioned, wep or wpa security, ideally open network.
