18 lis 2014 · A recent interview stated that the reason why Sony doesn't want to add a name change feature is to cut down on trolling, harassment, etc. These reasons are not even a factor. Hardly anyone says anything in public chat and everyone is usually if not all the time, talking in a party chat.

27 mar 2013 · So the basis of this petition is to raise awareness/support of the idea of being able to change one's online PSN ID. Maybe even enabling a Limit, such as Facebook, allowing users to change their names only three-four times and choosing that of the desired one.

Online Name Changes will rollout Starting at 5pm PST. First name change is free for all users. Unless you were part of the beta testing program as other beta testers have started to confirm on reddit. Then it's $4.99 for Plus members, and $9.99 for non members.
A petition to get PSN to change their system to make a name change. One possible way of doing this is making the user IDs and screen names separate, so that games recognize you by UID and players recognize you by screen name.
