The academic requirement to apply for a P.Eng. licence is a bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) or a bachelor's degree on PEO's Recognized Programs List supplemented by completing a technical exam program.
How to apply for licensure. To get an engineering licence, you must provide proof that you have met five requirements through a combination of documents, assessments, interviews, and/or testing. You may be able to start your application process before coming to Canada.
To apply for registration as a professional engineer, you must have graduated from a university-level bachelor degree program in applied science or engineering or a four-year, full-time post-secondary degree program in geoscience, science, or technology.
To work as a professional engineer in one of Canada's provinces or territories, you must receive a licence from that province or territory's engineering association.
