9 gru 2010 · Probably a new post coming about this shortly, but now the Presto Wind PMA is thoroughly run in, we’re finding that it’s producing only 25-30% of its advertised power for any given rpm. (My neighbour further down our stream has an almost identical installation with the same unit and has the same problem.)

26 lut 2011 · Spencer, the Hurricane low wind PMA is a re-badged Presto Wind alternator (we wrote to Hurricane and asked because they looked suspiciously similar). I think Hurricane may specify different windings on one or two of 'their' alternators, but after our experience with the Presto Wind M-24s (see above), I wouldn't go down that road again.

7 wrz 2009 · Has anyone on the board had any experience with the Presto wind line of alternators as yet? I like the heavy windings in the stator but is it a significant improvement over the other brands that have converted a auto alternator?
1 mar 2012 · The particular problem in my opinion is the fact in the mainstream all wind mills are advertised in open voltage multiplied by amperage giving a whopping unrealistic number. Some companies spin a PMA to 10000 rpm and data is placed in a chart open voltage.
8 lis 2010 · The Presto Wind M-24 claims to be capable of generating 24V power at only 80-100rpm. This particular generator is a dual output system : effectively 2 generators in one with 2 rotors and 2 stators, meaning that the magnetic reluctance is half that of a single generator.
