16 lis 2022 · Dr. Lang has had an enormous influence on training the next generation of psychological researchers. He has chaired over 35 dissertation committees and has also mentored dozens of national and international post-doctoral and post-baccalaureate research associates over his career.
After a long and remarkable career Peter Lang, PhD retired on October 31, 2022. Dr. Lang obtained his BA in psychology from Denison University in 1950, his M.A. in Romance Languages from the University of Buffalo in 1952, and his doctorate in Psychology from the University of Buffalo in 1958.

1 wrz 2016 · Despite such extended interest in the phenomenon of imagery, Peter Lang was one of the first scientists to formulate a testable theory of emotion-inducing mental imagery. Lang, 1977, Lang, 1979 of emotional imagery was originally developed to explain the role of mental imagery in facilitating behavioral fear extinction in imaginal exposure therapy.
Peter J. Lang is the recipient of an award for distinguished scientific contributions due to his outstanding contribution to the understanding of emotion, particularly fear and anxiety and how his work has influenced numerous doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows, as well as many scholars at both the national and international scenes.
